Chinese Worldviews Seminar

Each year, CAC facilitates a public intensive seminar on the history of contemporary Chinese worldviews. Course credit is available. The annual seminar helps Westerners better engage with the Chinese people on both personal and academic levels.

Together, we survey the core teachings, history, and development of Confucianism, Taoism, Islam, Buddhism, folk religions, and Christianity in China and the impact of these traditions on China today. Includes lessons in very basic conversational Mandarin.
